Shepshed Garendon Park Handicap Run June 2017

Shepshed Running Club have invited a few local clubs to take part in a Handicap Run through the lovely grounds of Garendon Park on Tuesday 20th June 2017, followed by a BBQ at the Black Swan.

It is Just for Fun.

No Entry Fee, No Prizes, No Results, No 1st Aid, Very Limited Facilities, No Marshals

Runners are asked to estimate their pace over a 5k or 10kish course and will be set off at 2.5 minute intervals. If everybody runs the 10k at the pace of that group then all the groups would finish at the same time.

There are no marshals on the course so if you don't know the way please team up with somebody who does.

Run Information

  • The run start and finish will be at the Hind Leys Community College, Shepshed.
  • Please be at the school ready to run for 7pm for final briefing.

  • There will be a 'I Just want To Run' group setting off just after 7pm

Pacing Groups

After the run there will be a get together at the Pub for pint and BBQ, to swap stories of past greatness or future hopes.

Venue: The Black Swan, Shepshed

As you come out of the school grounds turn right and the pub is 50meters down the hill on the left.
